Holcomb Creek Trestle

Buxton, OR

The Holcomb Creek Trestle curves through the coast-range forest of Washington County, Oregon — one of the great wooden railroad trestles, long silent since its line closed. Hikers' telling gives the mossy giant footsteps on the deck above, lights and a linger of the logging dead.
