Moonville Tunnel

Zaleski, OH

A remote abandoned railway tunnel in the forests of Vinton County, Ohio, almost all that remains of the vanished coal hamlet of Moonville. Tied to several fatal rail accidents, it is the subject of enduring ghost stories, most famously a lantern-carrying figure said to appear along the old tracks. It is reached on foot and has no facilities.
