Stuckey's Bridge

Meridian, MS

An 1850s-era iron bridge over the Chunky River outside Meridian, Mississippi, wrapped in the state's darkest innkeeper legend: Stuckey, said to have robbed and killed travellers and to have been hanged from the span. Night visitors report a swinging lantern and splashes beneath.
